Getting to Know You – Bryce Patrick

By: Alejandra Guillen—Content Creator

Patrick, Bryce Tallwave Jan 2019-29

Job Title:
Consultant

Hometown:
Scottsdale, Arizona

How long have you worked at Tallwave?
Approaching the end of my first year!

What led you to a career in consulting?
Working with several different brands, in different industries, all with varying goals has always been my style!

I’m able to challenge and think outside of industry best practices. Ultimately, this enables me to help the brands I work with bring new and validated products to market, accelerate products they already have on the market, or transform their brand/experiences that result in shared growth. All the business leaders we work with are experts in their field – and they know we’re experts in our craft. When we partner together it’s a lot of fun to see the results we can achieve.

What energizes you at work?
The culture and challenges we work on. That, or the five cups of coffee I drink throughout the day.

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute to your success and why?
Empathy. The faster you build empathy with the people you interact with, the faster you'll both find success.

What is your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
Cooking with a big glass of red wine while spending time with my wife Annie, and my little goldendood, Nash.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Don’t forget where you came from.

Who inspires you?
Each person in my family in their own unique ways. Professionally, I look up to the Collison brothers, who founded Stripe.

Outside of work, what are you passionate about?
Cooking, golfing, and spending time with the people I love.

Do you have a hidden talent? If yes, what is it?
I like keeping my hidden talents hidden, but if I did have any, I’d recommend keeping me away from the dance floor.

If you could trade places with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
Jeff Bezos to see the type of stress he’s under and to make a few investments in causes I care about.

What is the top destination on your must-visit list?
Sweden.

What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?
Beef jerky from a random person. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t beef jerky… *gulp*

Is there something you can’t leave home without?
My phone.

What’s one song or artist that you’re embarrassed to admit you like?
Kacey Musgraves.
